BC Coroners Service confirms identity of pedestrian

PRINCE GEORGE - The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a pedestrian who died after colliding with a truck in Prince George on Oct. 15, 2012.

He was Miklas Bognar, aged 68, of Prince George.

Shortly after 10 a.m. on Oct. 15, Mr. Bognar collided with a southbound tractor-trailer chip truck at the intersection of Highway 97 and 15th Avenue in Prince George. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death.

The family of Mr. Bognar has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
