SURREY - Visitors to Peace Arch Provincial Park in South Surrey are advised the Semiahmoo First Nation has decided to charge a $5-daily parking fee effective immediately.
The parking lot is situated on Semiahmoo First Nation Indian Reserve land. As the land is located outside the park, BC Parks is not responsible for vehicles or occupants in the parking lot.
At the same time, BC Parks staff remain in active discussions with the First Nation regarding the use of this lot for visitors.
Parking remains free at all provincial parks where the lot is located on BC Parks land.
