BURNABY - The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a male found deceased in Richmond on June 17, 2012.

After an exhaustive post-mortem investigation and with assistance from the BC Police Missing Persons Center, Surrey RCMP and Richmond RCMP, the male was determined to be Sukhmohan Vandher of Surrey.

Mr. Vandher, aged 48, was last seen alive in Surrey on Nov. 26, 2011.

On June 17, his body was recovered from the Fraser River along Dyke Road in Steveston, and transported to Vancouver General Hospital for further forensic examination.

An autopsy has ruled out foul play.
