PRINCE GEORGE -Tabor Mountain, with its 250 km of multi-use trails, is now a formally established recreation trail system, announced Prince George-Mackenzie MLA Pat Bell on behalf of Minister of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations Steve Thomson at the ATV-BC Jamboree on Tabor Mountain.
Tabor Mountain has been used year-round by recreation enthusiasts for more than 50 years. Residents and visitors can enjoy activities such as Nordic skiing, snowmobiling, horseback riding, ATV riding, mountain biking and hiking on the extensive trails. Establishing Tabor Mountain as a provincial recreation trail system will ensure it is preserved for future generations to enjoy.

Quick Facts:
- Tabor Mountain has more than 250 km of multi-use trails, 27 staging areas and four cabins.
- The establishment of the recreation trails coincides with the 50th anniversary of the Grove Fire (August 1961).
- Many of the trails used today are the result of fireguards and subsequent salvage logging after the fire.
- The trail system will be managed by Tabor Mountain Recreation Society in partnership with Recreation Sites and Trails BC.
- Recreation Sites and Trails BC manages more than 800 trails across the province.
